Gay dragon ball

No one will watch Dragon Ball and become convinced that all gay men are pedophiles. However, characters like these serve to confirm bigoted beliefs that already exist, which ultimately reinforces the bigotry gay men face in real life. When discussing problematic characters from Dragon Ball 's past, there are a few directions the conversation can go.

Are they positive stereotypes? No, but there's no rule that dictates that every group should be represented equally. Even so, there are characters that we can infer as having a probability of being gay such as Kale and Zamasu, though I'd never expect anyone involved with the series to come out and say they are.

Dragon Ball is one of the biggest and most famous anime and manga franchises. Since it debuted in , the franchise has introduced hundreds of characters, from the simple to the strange. But despite this massive cast, Dragon Ball has always struggled with representation. And nowhere is this better seen than with its terrible handling of LGBT characters.
