One of the issues with Olyvar's character, however, is that he is hyper-sexual, however, considering his occupation, hypersexuality is bound to come with the territory. While not quite as stereotypical as Loras, Olyvar still has his moments and winds up turning on and presses charges against him.

How, then, does this all tie together? And why mention all this at all if the critique is purely focusing on the LGBT aspect? Granted, it is because it all seamlessly integrates into the world, all themes are maturely handled and naturally fit in this fantasy both realistically and somewhat stylistically but never to a degree that would break the immersion.

But, before any of that begins we see her as as a nervous virgin being instructed in how to please her man by acting out positions and intimate touches with another woman. Bi-curiosity pops out of the screen. Bisexuality is embodied not just by Ellaria Sands, but also by her male lover Oberyn Martell.
